Cause – Freedom Waters Foundation

For the first year, the Pelican Bend Gulf Coast Open is excited to donate all of our proceeds to the Freedom Waters Foundation.  The last six years, the GCO raised funds to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Freedom Waters Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of individuals with special needs and veterans by providing therapeutic marine related experiences on the waters of South Florida.

Objectives & Goals of FWF:

*To provide marine-based, social, environmental programs for unique individuals, their families and friends through direct service and community partnerships.

*To work collaboratively in this effort with the boating public, marine industry and philanthropic resources.

*To offer opportunities that result in feelings of independence, self-worth and accomplishment.

*To build a greater sense of community through understanding and tolerance through sharing individual uniqueness.
